Arizona Chickens

I am not getting enough eggs. Maybe 10 eggs a day. I suspect I have a turkey egg eater and a bit of an over-population problem.

My chickens are laying well right now but I only have 4 laying and they are all 1 year old egg-laying machines. I get 3-4 almost every day.

Ours are laying quite well as are the new pullets coming online... We still have some hens molting so they are laying sporadically right now, but the rest are doing well.

We use artificial incandescent light 14.5 hours in the hen houses.

Production over here is limited, at best. I have 12 layers & I might get 3-4 eggs a day. My bantams - 1 egg once a week or so. Seramas have decreased as well - maybe 2 eggs per week. My standards - 2-3 eggs daily (this last week though I've only been getting 1-2//day).

Hope this helps.

Just give us a couple of days until the rollout nestboxes have been tested

.
And my youngsters finally started laying at nearly 30 weeks. Smallish eggs kept rolling in over the weekend

. Still nothing blue! Ameraucanas don't seem to be in a hurry.

I have 4 hens and 1 roo now... we get 1 egg a day.

Easter Egger - molting, no eggs
Buff Orpington - lazy - no eggs in ages
Cuckoo Marans - lazy - no eggs in ages
Blue Orpington - laying almost every day

ca, love the nest boxes and the birds!

Most of my girls are not laying right now. My two that were hatched in late April lay nearly every day, but the other two-year-old girls (6) are either in the depths of molting or coming out of it and I haven't gotten an egg from them in nearly a couple months.
