I use a q-tip, and just get a bit of it under the membrane. Kinda like scooping a melon lol. Just stay away from the bill.

Oh Ravyn mentioned the wrong ender. Did you check it?

Wipe him with a paper towel ? The wrong end pipper we think we heard whilst helping this little chap , after nothing for many many hours .

You may have to do the same thing with the wrong end one.

I have a serama chick right now in the exact same stage as your duckling.

He probably wouldn't have made it unassisted, but waiting till he was ready was the key!

Let him rest for a bit first. If he starts drying off and it's still stuck, you can pick it off..
