Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Thanks for the kind words. There are a few tool you could use for that task, in ours I removed all teh planks as I added nest boxes to the same spot. I am assuming you just want the hole.

For the hole, a circular saw would be my choice as it will drop in and you can follow a line without needing to drill a entry hole first. Other tools like a jig saw or 'saws-all' will need a hole first to get the blade in.

Secondly, before you cut make sure you have a poke around the inside, you may need to add a small frame on the inside to secure the planks that will remain once the hole is removed. This is a bit more important if you plan to hang a hinge or something as the planks are probably only held in with a couple of nails per the length of the plank.

Feel free to ask away, her or in my thread :D Happy to help.

I think I may give the circular saw a go. We bought one, I just haven't been brave enough to use it yet. After watching DH point the staple gun at his hand & pull the trigger I have decided that all the power tools are mine. He's very good at what he does, but not DIY inclined - at all. And yes, I am definitely going to make a frame because the playhouse is slatted so will just fall apart without one.
Oh & congrats on your epic run! I can't understand the desire to run quite so far myself, but it's a huge achievement to have done it.

Hope everyone had a nice relaxing Easter, I missed out.

Spent a good chunk of friday sitting in a tractor, marked over 200 lambs on saturday, collected fire wood today and butchered a lamb this morning. Sunday was fairly quiet though, drank a few too many though. Brother in law shot a fox while we we're getting the wood, so one less fox coming after the chooks and lambs.

Spangled sussex are a nice looking bird, don't think I've seen them in person though.
What are buff sussex like? stumbled across these yesterday...

I like the look of them, but I think I'll focus on the lights for now.

I sold my buffs out and am seriously thinking about getting rid of the lights. Sorry but I love my coronation Sussex. Can't go past them.
