Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Well I learnt a valuable lesson tonight. I sent some eggs to wagga , 10 of 12 hatched and now the buyer is on the Silkie thread asking if they are actually Silkie. I have my own line of silkies and have been breeding them for 8 years, what a slap in the face.

I am not sure how you stop this sort of garbage though, Fancy. If we only had to deal with animals and chooks, life would be much easier. Great hatching result though - congrats!!

Lol , rexy, I'm just fuming. Went into her profile and she even went on the polish site and asked them if they were polish. To add insult to injury reading through the posts sounds like she may have marecks in her existing flock. Sad. Won't be sending anymore eggs .

I think I may give the circular saw a go. We bought one, I just haven't been brave enough to use it yet. After watching DH point the staple gun at his hand & pull the trigger I have decided that all the power tools are mine. He's very good at what he does, but not DIY inclined - at all. And yes, I am definitely going to make a frame because the playhouse is slatted so will just fall apart without one.
Oh & congrats on your epic run! I can't understand the desire to run quite so far myself, but it's a huge achievement to have done it.

Just find some scrap to practice on first, make sure you have your safety equipment. If you are ready to go and still not confident round up a neighbour for a quick hand on demo. Be assertive when holding it too, you are controlling the machine, not the other way around.

Thanks about my race, I got to about 45 km's and began to wonder why I did it too hahaha. The desire comes from setting a personal goal, a challenge to myself. The satisfaction of knowing I did all I could to achieve that goal was very rewarding.

That's a bit rough mate. I would not take it personally, more that the other person would not know a silkie if it hatched under their nose. I bought eggs off you and I got EXACTLY what you sold me. I know your good for it
