Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

My exciting news is that it finally rained at the land that rain forgot. :celebrate I am sure we didn't receive the total they did near the coast but my ground is wet and all my gardens so I am super happy. :weee Edited to add just checked the gauge and we had 35mm.. Best for the year so far :celebrate

We have had 350mm this month over one weekend and 30mm this weekend. My yard can't take anymore

As I lie here unable to sleep because of the incessant barking of a dog a few doors up, I wonder why that seems acceptable but I can't keep my rooster.

So annoying!

I was woken at four am by a vehicle a street away. I know there are supposed to be volume controls/limits but they don't seem to be inforced on trucks, bikes and hoon hot rods. Several times my infant has been woken during the day and night.

Congrats - but I can't read the card. What are the details?

You need a looooong holiday! !

I have nearly finished the silkies coop. If it would stop raining I could dig the trench around it to add the mortar mix around it. They are approaching 8 weeks and definitely ready for outside! The little D'Uccle is jumping on everyone lol

Once the mortar is in I have some golden cane palms to put in that will grow quickly to add shade. The tree that is behind it when it's much bigger will provide shade also.

Now if it will just stop raining!

Very nice! Makes my yard look like a hillbilly's.

That is wonderful. I know the uplifting that gives.

That's about as much as I had running down my stairs inside my house. That's not so good.

His comb and earlobes are far to light to do well overall

It may have been the lighting on the photo you originally took of McLeod, perched on top of a green cat carrier .... but in that photo - his wattles and comb seem very strongly red,
in the photo.

Did you mean they are not big enough ? Still and all, he's a beautiful boy, with such lovely plumage. And at least he's won 1 first prize.

You never know - when he is more mature, he might make it higher up the scale in the show ring ....

Cheers. ...

They are rather red. That is the problem. His wattles and comb are supposed to be dark purple nearly black. His light blue earlobe are supposed to be a really dark blue.
