I think I want doves guys.

Does any one have them?
Did some one not buy some and have to get rid of them?

I want a breeding pair, that live by my window and I let them out every morning and they come home at night or when I whistle for them.lol.

Id like some geese but my husband is scared of them! As for peacocks, they are on my list too for when I have my own farm, I do know they move about though as we used to keep our horses in Duffys Forest and someone (we never know exactly who!) has some peacocks who just wandered about from property to property - very cool!

With doves, try a wedding company for some tame ones to coo on your windowsill! A friend went to a wedding, they released the doves and everyone went to the reception and left the poor white doves behind. He gave them to me as he knew I would rant if he left them there (they were wandering about) and I found a home for them - never crossed my mind that the companies would just abandon them, so cruel.

Why would they just leave the pigeons there. You'd think that would be a priority to get them back.

My sister has decided she wants guinea pigs -_-. But I have convinced her that if she isn't allowed Guinea Pigs then she gets QUAILS!!!!

Happy to answer any quail questions Luke, I love them and I think they are really worth keeping. Quiet, productive (return in eggs for the food eaten is higher than chickens), and just google health benefits of the little eggs!

Ruby, whereabouts in Victoria are you? There are a few Facebook groups that are great for answering questions and finding birds [/quLatrobe Valley, after I posted that question I went searching, found a few fb pages and a couple of breeders, one that will post a dozen eggs for $50, now I have to look into incubation, not really wanting to buy one, but not sure about the DIY. Also I don't want 12 chickens lol I'm sure I wouldn't get 12 out of 12 but if I did, I'd be little bit screwed

Yeah he Is a black copper maran and booster is his name. Booster the rooster lol. He may be kinda past his time , I have only ever kept him as a pet so I'm not to fussed. He is probably older than 6 as he was a full grown rooster when I got him but I have had him 6 years next week.

I have one diamond dove I had a pair but the butcher birds killed the male and I have yet to find a replacement.
