Ugh. Just had to chase the goshawk off the chook pen. That's 3 sightings in a week. He seems to have a one tracked mind

Yep that's a goshawk, I lost 3 chicks this week to my resident goshawk.

Hope mine gives up and moves on before that. That would be nearly half my flock!

He's a pretty tuff dude. He keeps sitting in the magpies tree and they swoop the heck out of him but he doesn't even flinch. Not many humans could sit ignoring being swooped by that many magpies

Unfortunately people had to leave farm animals behind here. We saw lots of cows floating down the river but there are posts that they are washing up alive. Hopefully all the ones I saw are ok.

People are making me so angry. So many people reporting lost ducks and chooks in the flood and nasty people are responding "who cares" "they are just ducks" etc. I would be devastated if my ducks went into the water. I think hubby would feel the same way about his chooks.

Yeah all is well. Been very busy with no. One son in high school this year. And all the rain minor floods and re model coop and pen lol roof is still on the floor and the pole holes half dug thanks rain !
