Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

K Riggs I'm hoping to get to the duck lady tomorrow I'll ring her first and make sure she has some eggs. I'll pm you as soon I know. My new Sussex's are huge they have made themselves at home and gotten rid of all the weeds under my mango trees and laid 2 eggs yesterday and today. I love chooks.
I hope everyone had a good weekend and a great fathers day.

Awesome to all those things, i love chooks too! :D I got eggs from my new girls today and a little black bantam layed a tiny dark brown egg for the first time today. I love finding out what eggs they lay :love Hope you had a good weekend too.

I send on a Monday in the hope that the eggs won't sit around in an Australia post Van over the weekend. I wrap each egg individually in paper towel to reduce movement in the carton, then I double bubble wrap the carton place in a shoe box with more padding and then place inside a post bag. I've sent eggs all round Australia with few breakages and no , never write fragile on the bag. It's like a red rag to a bull.
I do that exact way too and send in an over night express bag.

Sulphur powder mixed in with Vaseline will step it up a bit if you think that you need to hit them harder. Pestene is sulphur mixed with rotenone. The sulphur is fine and can be fed to animals but the rotenone is nasty stuff, and has been closely linked to Parkinson's.
Very sad time here at Inlet Farm. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Rosie. She was coming up to 29 and the kids first pony. I will miss her plodding around my garden and she now rests eternally under her favourite pear tree. :(
:hugs

Aus post tracking says unable to complete delivery transferred to post office which is a town away. I will see if i can go get it, i don't want it getting lost!
Fingers crossed it all arrived safely for you . I love that after 10 years i have a great postie out here. She leaves my parcels in a safe place if i'm not home so i don't have to go all the way into town and i get a text saying parcel left here for you :). Kinda helps that she is a good friend of mine.. we had the worst posties ever out here til then.

Could have something to do with the snow on the roads and don't rely too heavily on tracking advice, we raced into the airport to pick up some semen from a stallion in WA only find that contrary to the tracking advice it was still in Melbourne. Not happy Jan, vet at home , mare sedated and we had to wait 2 hrs in town for the next available flight.
