Thanks, I had someone call about him today, then asked how many eggs our pullet would lay a day too. I hope someone takes him over the weekend,s ave the plucking.

For some reason the humidity has gone up to 71% from 60. Is this a problem?
Now that I think about it, how can you stop this. If you have heaps of chicks then there is surly going to be a lot of humidity, them breathing and all???!?!??!

Have you opened all the vents? I have two in mine and I remove the second vent when they take off. I also hatch around that humidity anyway without issue.

She/he is a really muck up chick, running ( more stumbling ) all over the brooder knocking all of the other chicks. Maybe she/he is trying to help them get out

My quail chicks have hatched a day ahead of schedule!
I have 19 fluffy butts in the brooder out of 22 eggs set, very happy with the result

One egg was unfertilised and two were early quitters.

I HAVE PIPPING e !!!

Last night I had one pipping with 2 others moving. Woke up this morning to 3/8 piping and more moving and now I have 5/8 pipping with 2 others moving.

Can't see anything really with the quail eggs though.

I think you could count this as my first hatch.
I have had some broodies hatch a few chicks ( max 5 ) in the past but I really didn't have much to do with them.
