My young marans roos are just trying to crow but not very good at it and they are around 5 months.it depends on the breed as to when they crow and how big the comb is etc. look for hackle feathers coming in for boys and much thicker legs usually.
Pekin Bantam and 9-10 weeks, gone through a crazy colour change and has the sharp feathers around the base of the neck..
