Do you advertise you purebred roos to sell them, Fancy? I actually haven't tried with the Marans, I just give them to whoever wants to eat them. I usually think that I will only try to rehome the really good ones.

Rexy, I usually get $20 for them on " Andy vardys backyard poultry. If I know they are going to a good home , I have been known to give them away.

So I was outside with my chickens today and notices on one of my isa browns that she has a few dark green spots on her legs??? Anyone know what this is?? :|

She is the only chicken with them..

Well, they have all gone. Sold in a flash and one man even came and bought 13 including the two roos.
In total I got $410 .

Now I have 2 rir banties, 1 frizz, Pew Pew, 2 WLH's and my to Marans left.

She is the only chicken with them..

Has she had any injuries of late. Could be bruising. We had a bantam that's legs were all caught up in the string from the top of a feed bag. I hadn't noticed it , until I could see her having difficulty walking. The string was entwined around both feet and so tight that it left grooves in the flesh. We were only lucky that gangrene had not set in. I would wash her legs down examine her for bites or injury and take some pics. Btw. My daughter has had a good talking to about dropping string on the ground in the feed shed.

Wow glad yours is ok! I Didn't think about bruising.. I haven't seen her have an injury and she is walking and running completely fine.. It's in a few different spots so I don't know if it could be bruising? It's coming up like "chicken pox" small dots in different areas! If I can get a photo today I'll post it! If she will allow me to take one!
