Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

My goodness!! It really is hatch day isn't it!!

Congrats Satay, that is one lucky little bantam!

And congrats Luke too! Have to admit I'm kinda jealous :)

They do it quite often here disappear in the bushes and hatch eggs. The turkeys are very protective of their bantie mates.

Pinky - I have 19 Barred Rocks now. Some are looking quite magnificent.
I will be picking my best breeding quartet soon.
Hopefully have lots of eggs for you from April onwards.

Lavender seems to be the "in" colour these days, I only see ads for Lav Araucana's! I love Lavs!

Congrats on your first egg Mog and great work on the chicks Ash!

It does seem to be Luke. I have had my lav araucanas for 5 years now but have not had a rooster until I got maxi. My male before that died over a year ago..
Love the chicks Ash. They are growing great.

Yay! That's great :) I'm really looking forward to it :)
My girl isn't laying at the moment though. I don't know why. I hope she gets back to normal soon as I owe newlove some eggs too.
Any ideas what might be wrong? I did have to change some of her nest because an egg broke and she hasn't laid since and that was also **** when we had a couple wintery days.

It's the unseasonally hot weather - most of mine have given up laying and started moulting.
Do you have a light on a timer you could put in their coop?
Wake them up about an hour before sunrise- that helps.
