Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Sorry, still not convinced on the ferrets.

My hatched chicks are all fine, 3 girls and 6 boys. I did lose 8 chicks that were with a broody, some marans and oe's.

I am just interested in their colours, Satay. It is a bit of an obsession with me, getting the wheaten colour right. That lady is up north somewhere isn't she?

Great to hear from you Chook. There was someone on the other Aussie thread looking for olive eggers, and I did mention that you were on this thread and had some. How's your farm hunting going?

No worries. Net is running slow at the moment will try to post some pics for you soon. Yes Julie is nq somewhere think near bundy but not entirely sure.

Hi everyone,

Monday has just gotten better. One of my little nearly 17 weeks New Hampshire girls laid her first egg.

Congrats on your Marans egg by the way satay, I usually take a million photos and choose the one that most represents the colour but the cards I have are now handy to compare the colour to.

Hey guys!

Hope you all a lovely weekend

I know I've asked before but what bulb and wattage should I be getting for my brooder? Was it 100w? Also, can you use a 100w house style light bulb or does it have to be a ceramic one? Someone advised me that if i was going to use a ceramic one i need to provide the chicks with light because they can wonder too far down the brooder, loose their way back to the heat and the others and sadly pass away!
