Wowee what a day Friday was!

I left work at 3pm to try and attempt to get home .. but nope, I was too late! We sat at Petrie station for 2 hours before I jumped on a train to head back into the city to get something to eat (was starving as I didn't have lunch!)

A friend of mine ended up picking me up from a station closer into the city and I was going to stay with her for the night, but they highways were reopened at about 10.30pm so my DH came and picked me up. Didn't get home til 11.30. Now that was a long day.

Very sad to hear about those poor souls. 4 of them died only one street over from where I live; we had to drive past where their cars were swept away by the flood waters and saw the vehicles still there - very chilling sight.

We got away very lightly thank goodness - all the girls made it through no worse for wear, Lou the horse is fine and the spotty kids, well they were living it up inside all nice and dry.

Tragic, such a sad loss :-(. Glad you guys came through relatively unscathed.
