Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

We just had the vet to Bear to check on him and we decided it would be kinder to put him to sleep. She thought he had cancer most likely a brain tumor, he also was having an auto-immune response all over his body and his mouth and nose. We think it went through his stomach too. He killed 4 chooks this morning he ripped down the fence, while we had him locked in a kennel area he dug under the duck fence and killed a duck. That was not like him over the last year he has killed a few chooks. He never used to bother with them they were always getting out and he never hurt them. Its going to be very quiet without him. His personality has changed a lot lately and I was worried about him with the kids, he bit my husband when Paul wouldn't pat him the other day. Bear has always been very docile and great with the grandkids. We will miss him very much.
Oh mate i am so sorry. I know the pain. Cancer is such a cruel thing for our fury mates to go through. Thinking of you.:hit:hugs

I feel awful popping in to say hello now, it feels an awkward time. I am sorry for the loss of your dog. <3

Hello. I am newly joined and down in Vic. Hatching my first lot of eggs. Araucanas and a few Brahmas. Feeling nervous and now doubly nervous, as the lady I bought the Araucana eggs from warned me about their double crown sticking in the shell. Seemed like a great idea to hatch some, at the time. The Brahma eggs are from my own birds. Why do I do this to myself? Lol.

Hi and welcome, be very very careful hatching is addictive. :lau
And there are many enablers here. :frow

I haven't slept, I keep checking everything and am reading non-stop. Lol. I just wanted to hatch some of my roosters babies as I have had a bad run with roosters. This rooster is a Brahma and like a big puppy dog, I adore him. The araucanas are for a friend. If this all works out, I just might have found another hobby. (I show mini ponies and standard donkeys)

Well this has been an interesting hatch. Hatch day was Wednesday but 2 x were premmy and arrived Tuesday , 3 x hatched Wednesday, 1 Thursday and I can now hear the incubator cheeping again. :yesss:

Fancy They are adorable. I'm thinking of hatching some Marans and Araucanas, maybe when the weather warms up a bit. A friend is bringing me 4 hens to replace the ones Bear killed last week. She is going to see what she catches so it will be a nice surprise. Is that to do with the heat that they hatch early. I've had mine hatch over a few days and I wasn't sure. I hope everyone has had a good start to their weekend.

I’m not familiar with this incubator but I believe some have hot spots. Last one hatched this morning so that’s 100% hatch rate. Im filling it again tomorrow.
