Australorp Pride! Let's see those pics!

Pics
Thanks she has pretty black and dark gray wing feathers with a few white ones but not the back or tail feathers like the barred rock or Easter Eggers. She is active, inquisitive and growing. She is a little smaller than the rest who were all supposedly shipped @ 1 day. Just being curious.

Ok, so Zhanne has decided to stop resisting Blue Boy's affection. I see him nab her 2 times now today. Blue Boy is in a pen with 3 Blue hens, a Black hen, and a Splash hen. The Splash hen is the broody one right now, unfortunately. Too bad it wasn't one of the Blue hens that was broody. I'm still working with the color genetics for these. I also want the Blue and Black together for the offspring, as it helps to improve the feather lacing in the Blues.

Well, last night I went out there just as the sun was going to go down. Precious was out in the pen with the rest of the flock. It looked like some color was starting to come back into her comb and wattle. Then I seen her get up there where the rest of them all roost at night. Today when I went out there, she was still out there with the others in the pen, and even more color was now in her comb and wattles. I think that she gave it up.

This is my Black Austrolaurp named Cam. She was the sweetest little thing until a fox got her along with two of our RIRs.

Here's my only Australorp, Lillie Maude. She should begin to lay soon. She is named after my Great-grandmother, Lillie Maude Tucker.
