Yes, he should look like that when he's grown up. If you will be trying to breed for quality, watch for any red color bleed in the feathering. If there is red bleed in the coloring of the feathers, I wouldn't breed him as he could pass it on in the genes. Sometimes a reddish bleed can come through if they have any Buff Orpington in the lineage, and especially can be seen in rooster's.
I seen a nice looking Splash Australorp there in that pic that you shared, also!
