Do Aussie 3 day old chicks sometimes have a look that you can just tell they will be ornery ? Chicks arrived today and all safe and active. This little girl already seems to have an attitude. LOL She has a white face and is so cute. Do they lose the white breast etc as they grow?

Yes they lose all their white feathers by 5 or 6 months. If the have yellow feet however, they could be a New Jersey/Australorp. Something I learned last year...

Interesting, as mine now has white feathers in her wings, actual feathers not just fluff. I can't seem to catch a photo of her with her wings out. So you are meaning an Australorp mix, right? I'll have to look at her feet, I'm not sure.
