I've been hearing about other color Australorps. Can someone post some pictures. I would love to see them. I'm new to all this but my little BA is so sweet! ANd I like a diverse looking little flock so I'm wondering about other colors.

In response to how my BA, Black Betty is doing after the turkey attack:
She's doing better. The head is now scabbed and looks like it is healing. She has insisted in joining the rest of the flock, so I have let her at short intervals. I have a resilient girl!! I was thinking the worst and she has proven me wrong!
That is wonderful news!

Pretty!!! Are their other colors too?
White and Splash but both are rare and hard to find and breed for. I will be trying for a splash next breeding season though.
Don't get carried away by colors until you know how to breed type in a Black Lorp. When you have a flock of good blacks, then you can try breeding the colors. The Blues are not set in type yet, and are much harder to breed for a novice. Walk before you run.......There is much to learn about type.Pretty!!! Are their other colors too?
