I would like to see some pics of the purple barring also. If I get a chance tomorrow I will post some pics of my 6 month old blue and splash Australorps if y'all are not tired of seeing them.

Got my very first egg tonight. I think it was from my BA's. I have rir's and ba's but I figure its the BA's that leg the egg since the rir aren't 6 months yet.
The white one is a lg. store bought egg.

Congrats! Eggs are so Fun! I have been amazed at the number of eggs I am getting over 2 oz. They all aren't that big but a good percentage are. I collected 16 eggs in the past 5 days. Yummy!

If they RIRs are from a hatchery that could from them. They lay a lot sooner than the Heritage RIRs.
Do your look like the ones in my Avatar?
I have some that are dark but most of them are lighter in color.
