I have enjoyed your posts about your hatchery Lorps over time. Was it Serena or Kendra? Such nice birds. Hope they are OK. You give your birds such a GOOD life. They are blessed to live their life with you for sure.

My two hatchery Lorps are doing very good and are a lot of fun. Peppa is always full of surprises as she is quick minded and curious. They saw their first snow yesterday and seemed puzzled at first. Bella was reluctant to step out. What IS THAT? LOL Peppa charged ahead to figure it out. My 3 yr. old girl Betsy Barr Rock recently began laying again after she got over her two month long hard molt. Here eggs are huge next to the Lorps. The Lorp eggs are regular size but Betsy's must be in the JUMBO+ category.

Hope your hatchings go great this coming year. Looking forward to seeing pics of your chicks in the months ahead. Along with everyone else posting pics. Enjoy all the pics so much. ~Dee~

It was Sienna. I still have two and they are doing fine. Sienna was the one with the big eyes.

My chickens charge into anything. The Hatchery Lorps are usually the first ones in LOL.

I am currently hatching Second Generation Olive laying chicks. I hope to set up breeding for the Hupp Australorps in January or so.

Quote: Oh am sorry. I meant Sienna but guess I forgot her actual name over time. She indeed was a pretty girl with those big eyes. But to be honest it was your pic of Kendra that gave me hope that hatchery Lorps could be beautiful. LOL I should go look again at your pics of them if you haven't removed them. Such nice girls.

Found your remark about your hatchery Lorps interesting as I know you have quite the array of birds. They certainly are curious birds aren't they! LOL
Maybe to curious for their own good at times. hee hee I have seen mine check out a raccoon on the other side of our electric fencing.

Perhaps they thought it was a dog as we have two that size? Or mayhap they are smart enough to know anything that comes near them gets ZAPPED. LOL

Oh wow. I was thinking you were probably doing the Hupp Lorps already. Not far from now though as the months fly by. Can't wait! Also when you post pics of your Second Generation Olive laying chicks I will need to go check them out too. You've peaked my interest to learn about them.

I will definitely be posting pictures of the OEs. Not on this thread but the California thread and the OE thread. I should start a thread for the Amelias(Cream Legbar X Crele Penedesenca).

If you wont post on this thread ..at least post us some info ..Like how they are doing or that you posted on another thread with a link ?

I hope everyone has a nice day with their family

I do not want to get into trouble with off topic posts.

I will be posting on the NYD Hatch a long thread and the OE thread.
