I have small hands. I would consider it a medium to medium + size. Not the size or my BR who is now a year and half. I was going to break it open but have decided to hope for the best when I need to use it for food.

How old is your hen? I ask because chickens are different from other animals, like cows, in that their gender changes with age, and not with birth/laying. Pullets become hens at one year. Just for clarification,
