Australorps breed Thread

When I get a chance I will take some pics of a trio of splash aussie chooks that I am keeping. They are about 8 weeks old and cute as buttons with different fathers so I am really interested in seeing how they turn out. I want to use the splash cockerel to make 100% splash babies and work on their mottling (black marks), probably next years project.

Chook,
Pretty boy there with the exception of his tail angle. If someone plans on breeding him then the 90 degree tail angle that should be 40 degrees will be a problem with the offspring.

Spencer is turning into quite the fine young man. These pictures are a couple of weeks old, and he's done quite some filling out since then. But I have internet now, so I'm uploading these!

I think he just might fill out and fill in his fathers shoes.... Still young, so we will see. He's nearly doubled in width since these pictures were taken.

He is handsome!!

Well, I guess mine now. Ive been breeding a small flock of Aussies for almost eight years. He came from eggs from my original flock, which I sold a few years ago during hard times. I think my original lines were from somewhere in Georgia. The older hen has a LOT of red leakage, but the pullet from his hatch is stunning. I'll have to post a picture of her tomorrow if I spend my lunch break borrowing wifi from McDonald's again. Lol
