DH is studying electric fence ideas. Check these out. Thinking if we could use more strategic electric wiring we would need less expensive wire fencing.

Deer only electric fencing...

[FONT=bookman old style, new york, times, serif]so you put these ideas all together or something like that ....of course this is for electric wire fence only.

Doug Akers Australorp wins Champ English at Connorsville this weekend.

I shown this one. He is no where near as nice a condition as Doug's.
Bad angle for this boy. Will try to get a better pic tomorrow.

Junior Show Aussie Champ.
The Ole School boys say they think this fella has a bit too much Orpington in him. Still a great conditioned bird. And a beautiful Aussie none the less

ANOTHER PIC OF THE SAME BIRD.

That black actually looks almost identical to a black SOP Orp I had.

You mean show quality. I dont know where terminology, SOP, came from. This bird looks good but I prefer more back definition from the tail, more u shaped sweep. This bird has a pretty flat back that is inclined. Orpingtons should have a low tail angle of about 10° or 15° which extends out flatly from the tail. Overall a flat line from the base of the neck at a 15° angle.

Hi Rhode Island,
welcome to the thread. Your Gem looks a lot like an Australian show-type bird. Are you an expat in Rhode Island or is it actually an Australian bird? Maybe some better pics?
Cheers Geoff from Aus

Hi Bill,
thanks for the show pics. Can see quality in yours and Doug's birds, but the bottom one hardly qualifies as a BA to me. No 'lorp should have its shanks not fully exposed. That bird to me is an Orp.!
Cheers Geoff
