Quote: So sweet!!! and I agree, when are you getting more??? you must have more!!!
Don't worry about it now. You will know with time, They will be crowing or laying eggs by week 25 usually.I have a short question for all of you. I have an BA who is closing in on 5 weeks in a few days...Im thinking this particular chick is a roo in disguise but was wondering if in the next few days I will see the waddles develop? Im thinking I can see hints of them now, whereas my other BA has zero. Ive read for some certain breeds you can also get an idea by how they carry their tales. Would this be another case? I wish I had a good pic to post, but maybe I can get one tonight as they are enjoying outside time with the warmer weather and extended daylight. Thanks!
Thanks for the info! I bought them through a local organic farm store that specializes in chicks/chickens. I think that they did come from a localish hatchery but Im not sure which one....but I know that they were sexed.Don't worry about it now. Usually you will know for sure by 10 weeks and have a good idea at 6 weeks.
You will have time to re home a cockerel if one was vent sexed incorrectly at the hatchery. They do not crow very will for the first several weeks. It is kind of cute to hear actually.
