Hey All!

We have been proud chicken owners for a couple years but a few weeks ago decided to incubate and hatch eggs from our coop for the first time! We have one Rooster, an Ayam Cemani. We started with 6 eggs, so far 3 have hatched and 2 are Piping (at day 22). I would love any insight you guys may have regarding Ayam Cemani hybrids and it would be awesome to see pics of any AC mixes you have or have had! Below I’ve listed the crosses in this first set of eggs:

*Ayam Cemani x Light Sussex (pictured)
*Ayam Cemani x Golden Comet

Thanks!

In for this!

I've got some AC hatching eggs coming. My flock currently consists of 20 Hoover Hatchery Barred Rock pullets. I'm adding Ayam Cemani (got 6 eggs in the mail!) and 12 Ameraucana (NOT Easter Eggers...actual Ameraucana) hatching eggs I have coming as well.

Awesome chicks. I don't have ACs, but do have Svart Hona and Hmong chickens. Crossing results in some fascinating chicks. If the cross has a great DM they of course come out blackened fully, but the ones that don't come out patterned beautifully. I have a Hmong cross with mauve laced English Orpington, that looks fully fibro except has some gold lacing running thru it. Maybe I can snag some pics this weekend.

I think one or both of the two on the bottom step have the Svart hona moms due to their black comb (other moms are Isbar, chocolate Orpington, black australorp).
only one out of the 4 got the silkie feather type. I’ll try to remember to take more pics tomorrow. View attachment 2562776
Looks great! I would love a white silkie to bread with Svart Honas.
