Did you flush it with saline and betadine or chlorhexidine before you slathered it with ointment?

I don't think a vet in Colorado will be able to help. @Vhope77 , find a vet near you and call them.

I’m not sure what kind of antiseptic it is as my family member gave me some in a different bottle and which kind of ointment should I use ??

All I have is polysporin so that is what I used

I used teremyacin { i think that is how you spell it} They have it in ointment form now. Kind of pricey though.

Does it smell like iodine?

I’m sorry I’m not sure what iodine smells like but the baby chick cried very hard when I put the antiseptic on :/ here is a pick of the materials I have the big roll is medical tape I think it’s a fabric but sticky on the inside

Those pictures were helpful thank you I don’t have anyone who will help me, before I splint it like in those pictures do I try to push the bone back in into place ??
