A Baby chick I am watching started screaming her head off down the hall, and though shes normally very talky, this was LOUD. She had to be assisted out of her shell, so she has a wonky leg, and when I came out she was laying in the tank screaming loudly. I pulled her out, and she was wet. The other babies all came out of the egg normal, and have no trouble with walking, so the water bowl in the tank is pretty wide, not tall enough to drown in hopefully. She clearly managed to get out. Was drying her off and assumed she was fine, but whenever she dozes off she moves her mouth weird, making a weird huffy sound and at some points sounding EXACTLY like a squeaky toy! Is that something I should worry about?? Can’t find answers anywhere and not sure if it’s from the water. Any help appreciated. Never had this happen before.
