baby duck with lots of problems

March of this year the man next door to us was murdered and they set a fire to cover up the evidence.  They finally caught the man who did it and he is being charged with his murder.  It was a nightmare.  Josh had his window cracked and heard the fire and went running threw the house screaming Earls house is on fire.  I called 911 and told them please hurry the man was sick he had cancer and I think he is still in the house.  Hubbie , robbie and Josh went over there and broke down the door but couldn't get in because the smoke and fire was so bad.  We didn't know he was murdered we just thought he went to sleep and was smoking and caught the house on fire.  They couldn't get Earl out and when the fire department finally got here they found Earl murdered.  The house is gutted from the fire so they are tearing it down.

Holy #+#+%-&. I just read this. Sickening. So tragic.

Heehee so true Patty. Next time I hear one of them flapping in the water, I'll go take a pic or phone video and post here. I wish they would do it in my hands like the one did in his owner's but they are petrified of hands. Kinda like Amykins' Bean. If mine we're not so terrified of being handled I'd do it all the time.

I would love to see a pic of them Julie flapping in their water. The finch in the video was probably raised by a human from hatch. Can you just imagine how tiny they are when they hatch?

The minute I hear the water flapping and the happy voice noises, I'll rush over and film it and then post here.

I think you are so right. So the little finch is comfy in his hands. Mind were not hand raised at all. I think they are the size of a small shelled peanut at hatching.

Great looking forward to seeing your finch ducks in their water. I'm waiting for the eggs to cool so I can feed these ducks and chickens. They expect a boiled egg in their food bowls in the morning. If they don't get it I have a bunch of angry ducks and angry

chickens running around the yard.

I'm a sad and feeling guilty duck mama. I just couldn't resist picking up my Donald last night. Once I got him settled on my lap, he started trembling. I let him down after a few seconds when he didn't calm down. He's such a soft fluff butt!! Wish I could hold him!!

It's a struggle with Bean, as well. She'll climb a mountain if it meant hanging out in my lap, but if I try to pet her, she shakes like a chihuahua!

Deb have you tried rubbing his chest? Que Sera loves that and it's almost like she is ticklish there. I know you just want to just pick them up and give them a big hug and a kiss. It seems like mine don't want to be picked up but once I hold then they enjoy the pets.

I've got to round up all the ducks and dust them with the seven dust today. The last time I held Que Sera I felt like I was being attacked by tiny bugs.I didn't see anything but I could feel them on me,.Then after we get that done we have to clean the coop and get that dusted and all the chickens.I'm not looking forward to this. I know the ducks and chickens aren't either. At least I will have some help poor Hubbie I have to break the news to him what we will be doing today.

When I hold Dave, while he doesn't struggle bc he likes to be held, he calms down a lot when I rub his chest too. Or when I take my finger right in between his wings. He also likes me to rub his leg, it gets him all sleepy when I do that. Good luck with yours! Davey used to shake bunches too but he doesn't anymore, just takes time
