baby duck with lots of problems

Well the neighborhood gossip (man in motorized wheel chair) says their going to build a two story apartment building. We have no parking now can't wait to have several new neighbors.

Ordered Davie a harness a while ago and got it today! He's so cute in it, it's mostly him walking me but I love it haha

That's adorable. What I'd love to see is one of those 'man on the street' videos that shows the reactions of people to unexpected things that happen around them. I'd love to see the faces of people seeing a duck walked on a leash since most people don't even look at ducks as pets.

Did you all ever have a day that nothing went right? That's my day today. Here I was on pins and needles this morning while they tore the house down hoping that the fence stayed up and it did until they were picking up the pieces of the house to load in a truck. They tore the fence up. They've stood it back up but the posts are broken and fence is all wobbley.

A friend of ours was visiting and she said one of your chickens is running down the sidewalk. It was Nugget one of the Isa Browns. I openned the gate and come running in.

The day just progressed from bad to worse I won't go into some of it. I stopped at Walmart to get an eight piece fried chicken from the deli. I open up the box and it has six pieces of chicken and one of the breasts is raw in the middle. I take that back in the pouring down rain and I grab another box of chicken. I told the guy at the deli you don't mind if I open this box and count it. There is seven pieces of chicken in the box. What the heck. He counts it and he says your right. I grab another box and finally get an eight piece.

I took a nap and woke up with the awfullest cramps in my legs. I felt like my legs were going to fall off.

Well I hope this evening is better I don't plan on going back to Walmart and the chickens are in the coop and the ducks are still on the other side of the fence until the dingbats get done with the concrete slab next door.

Uno's little wing is still sticking up.  I will probably have to wait until he molts to try again.  I found his vet wrap on the ground the other day.  He got it off.

What!?! That silly sweet not so tiny Uno. Bless him for doing that. I do want his wing to get better but you have to admit it's cute he dumped that wrapping.

I call the 7 chicks that I bought in the spring teenagers.  They really aren't teenagers anymore since most of them are laying now.  I think Autumn the little EE is laying pink eggs.  Now all I need is for Bee Bee to lay a blue one.  She hasn't started laying yet.

Have you posted pics of that? Maybe we could help with suggestions on the wrapping. Sorry to make you probably repeat something. I get way behind on much of this.

It loops under his belly and wraps around his neck/chest too.. also am sorry you had a bad day, I get those sometimes too, they suck!

Uno does look a little silly with one angel wing. Maybe he is half angel. I found his purple vet wrap and checked him out. Sure enough it's gone. Whenever I look at him I always think there is something to be pitied about him. Not to many ducks look like they have two black eyes then there is that wing thing going on.
