Omy word. I didn't know. Her blue doesn't look so blue. Well she is a super happy mud duck. Cute bird.

Yep she even looks a little green on the side there. hard to tell what color she might be. lol

It is. But does she dip her whole bird body in the pool to clean off? And when she is in the mud does she sit in it or stomp in it? I can't imagine her rolling around in it like a chicken taking a dust bath or a dog.

Here's a short story...Julie, you'll love this.

I had to drain some water out of the pool last night to get it ready for winter. I purposefully pointed the hose so much of the water would go into the duck area. They were having a blast playing and 4 or 5 times Donald did a happy dance. Standing still, but just like marching in place with his little webs splashing in the water. It was hilarious & oh so very cute!!

What is it about birds?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! I love that. Sweet precious Donald. He is such a wonderful guy, Debs. That makes me so happy. I love that you did that for his happiness. And I know I'd laugh. There he is stomping his webbies and he doesn't care that all this mud splashes up onto his beautiful and white undercarriage. Thanks for the story. I loved it.

Que Sera and Uno are still hanging out togeather. I think Uno is claiming Que Sera which I hope he does. Hershey the other male duck that was hatched around the time Que Sera was is hanging with Yoo Hoo. Que Sera is almost 5 months old this month. My baby is growing up way to fast. She's the only one in that group that will eat from my hand. I always have her a little pile of egg yolks on the side of the plate to feed her. She prefers the yellow and not the white.

Josh is doing good thank god. It is a miracle he is alive and I feel so blessed that he is alive.

Good. Que Sera + Uno and Hershey + Yoo Hoo. What I find fascinating is these birds have chemistry with each other kinda like people do. I guess it is the way things are to keep the species alive. So if Que Sera eats out of your hand then, is it easy to grab her for some loves? I know you and your DH have had to chase her to pick her up. I am glad she eats out of your hand.

We are getting an inch an hour in rainfall through the weekend we may need an ark soon.

So far flash flooding which can be serious here in the mountains. we're in a lull right now so i went out and cleaned all the houses.

The ducks and the chickens have different personalities and they seem to pair up with the ones they like. Others they just tolerate just like people do.

When Que Sera comes up to me to eat out of my hand I could grab her to hold which I would love to do but I'm afraid I will break her trust in me. If I do that she may never eat out of my hand again. I have grabbed Topper before when she eats out of my hand but it doesn't faze her one bit. She is so food motivated she comes right back when I put her down if I have more food to offer her. Que Sera is a picky eatter. She won't eat bread at all and she only wants the yellow from the eggs. Her favorite food is watermelon and she will scramble to get every bite of that.

I don't know what the temps are today but it's really chilly out. Winter is coming and I don't look forward to that.

Thanks Patty, Opie came in when I finished cleaning up out there, he is standing here talking to me. Thanks for prayers, looks like the storm may go farther east so mostly rain and more rain here. Hopefully the coast line won't get damaged too bad.
