That's awesome that Que sera will eat out of your hands, you should post some more pics of her soon! Has she finally swam in the outside pool yet? I'm glad to hear she's still being courted by Uno, I'm glad she has other ducks her age to hang out with.

Awe, sweet Opie is coming inside to get away from the rain. Does he bring in any girls with him? haha, hope the rain doesn't make it too unsafe where you are!!

When Que Sera comes up to me to eat out of my hand I could grab her to hold which I would love to do but I'm afraid I will break her trust in me. If I do that she may never eat out of my hand again. I have grabbed Topper before when she eats out of my hand but it doesn't faze her one bit. She is so food motivated she comes right back when I put her down if I have more food to offer her. Que Sera is a picky eatter. She won't eat bread at all and she only wants the yellow from the eggs. Her favorite food is watermelon and she will scramble to get every bite of that.

I don't know what the temps are today but it's really chilly out. Winter is coming and I don't look forward to that.

Oh good. The birds know who they like and don't like then. Totally understand that. That is smart you resist grabbing her. I hate to use that word cuz it sounds violent and I don't mean it to be. More like take hold of her and hold her. But you don't want to lose her trust. She is precious and deserves no fear. So funny about Topper. She is cute how she doesn't care as long as food's involved. I'd for sure take hold of her and squeeze and kiss her face. Then I'd let her go. I can picture you placing a plate of boiled egg in front of Que Sera and yolk on one side then white on the other. She'd take the yolk and ignore the white. Heehee. At least she is avoiding carbs by not eating the bread.

I am not looking forward to winter either. Ick. We do need the snow pack really bad and for that reason ONLY I want it to be horrendous but it doesn't mean I have to want or like it.

Oh Patti. That is hideous. Smart move cleaning out the houses. I hope it does not happen. It is crazy that we are so tragically dry here and you are all almost drowning over there.

Looks like we're not going to get hit as hard as first predicted still alot of rain and flooding but not the 12" they first said.

I wish I could send you all some of this Julie, just think 2 weeks ago we were in a drought now they are saying we're only 3" below for the year. Maybe by Monday we'll be even be caught up..

That's a relief, Patti. But as you reported regarding what's to come, it still is soooo much. Flooding, ish. I know how it was for you 2 weeks ago. So hard to believe. Wish it would happen here. Not the flood threats but all the wet. Our forecast shows dry, sunny days in the 70s for next 7.

Thank god you are not getting the 12 " they predicted. We are getting a little rain here and there. Yesterday was pretty windy but this morning it looks pretty calm.

That's sweet that Opie comes in and talks to you., He's probably telling you about all the rain and please make it stop for a while.

It is funny he comes in and talks. He is really all about socializing. He is very balanced. Has his girls and his people whom he loves.
