baby duck with lots of problems

I just found this thread, so sad about your little duck. I had a similar experience but luckily ours is still going. My duck Miss Wonky did the flipping over as well and would get better then worse.I had to hold her upright several times a day so she could eat and drink and we kept her with our quail and bantam chicks so she wouldn't get knocked over and picked on, they hatched the same day she did they were her snuggle buddies. She's actually only been outside a month and has to stay with the smaller east indies ducks instead of her family because she is still easily thrown off balance. She is also a crested duck with a massive poof. I so hoped your story would end like mine, I read it all today and your little boy duck Turbo was so adorable.
My Miss Wonky is now a big girl who despite being wobbly loves to flirt with the boys.

Now she has the 2 of you playing her little game of chase. cute.

I sure wish you'd send some rain this way we are bone dry
I'll send you some rain if we get some today. We've had our share of rain. The back yard looked like a pond when it quit raining. I think it's rained so much this week the ducks are even tired of it.

Have a great day all.

Well It has to have been alot for the ducks to be tired of it. Mine haven't been rained on in so long they probably have forgotten if they like it or not. We do have a good chance today and we're praying it will happen.

Heehee, cute little girl duck. Good for her. Great story Patty. Entertaining. We are cloudy and hot here. Wish it would rain and thunder.
Thanks Julie Que Sera keeps us all entertained here. I think she is a little bit spoiled but I don't know how she got that way. I'll send you and Patti some rain and thunder if we get any today. We have had our share of it and everybody elses I think.

I have to feed the ducks and chickens their waiting for me to let them out. Have a great day all.

I'm glad to hear Miss Wonky is able to go outside and even flirt with the boys. Thank you for sharing your story with us. She sounds precious. You become so attached to them and I still miss Turbo so much. He was a fighter and he worked so hard to walk and be normal. I think his little heart just gave out at the end.

Please keep us updated on how Miss Wonky is doing and I would love to see a picture of her if you can post one. God bless you for all you did for Miss Wonky.

Oh, you are so sweet to write about pattyhen's little Turbo. I am so thrilled to hear about Miss Wonky. Sweet sweet bird she is, getting about and flirting with the boys.

You are so welcome Patty. I think it is funny how she yells at the bottom of the stairs when you go inside the house. You have the best stories about her.

Thank you for sending the weather our way here in Central Oregon and Patti's way as well. It is gonna be a hot one here today and I am headed to the mountains for some hiking to stay cool.

Praying for you to get some rain and if you don't I'll send you plenty of ours. We are also getting cooler temps today. In the low 70's it feels so good I've opened the windows and turned the air off.

When your ducks get water logged from all the rain enough is enough.

Thank you, after 4 days of temps 90 and above which is not NORMAL we are looking at temps back into the 70's lows in the 50's and we don't have air. This ain't been fun.
