I've posted pics of him but they didn't show his little wing sticking up. I'll try and get one of him. I'm working on the zoom in on the pics so I hope my next pictures are closer shots.Have you posted pics of that? Maybe we could help with suggestions on the wrapping. Sorry to make you probably repeat something. I get way behind on much of this.
You can't really tell from the pic how it attaches but it looks so cute. Thanks Garner Zoo it's been a tuffy but I survived. It loops under his belly and wraps around his neck/chest too.. also am sorry you had a bad day, I get those sometimes too, they suck!
Uno does look a little silly with one angel wing. Maybe he is half angel. I found his purple vet wrap and checked him out. Sure enough it's gone. Whenever I look at him I always think there is something to be pitied about him. Not to many ducks look like they have two black eyes then there is that wing thing going on.

I looked that up on the search bar at the top of the page for chickens limping. Has your chickens been vacinated for Mericks? Or if they have a vitamin difincieny give them a poultry vitamin with riboflavin or b complex in it. I hope and pray that it is not Mericks I don't mean to scare you but it is just a guess.Does anyone know why chickens would all be limping on the same foot? All of my girls are limping like crazy. I thought one just stepped weird or something and then I noticed they all were, two don't even move, just lay there in the shade, the other two can still scratch around but I don't know what it could be?
Thanks for your help and I'll get him some white vet wrap then. That will blend in with his feathers and that does make sense about the colors. I got the purple when Topper was being treated for bumblefoot. She didn't keep it on either I had to go with the doggie boot.Poor Uno. You're such a great duck mom. He's lucky to have you!
So here's a tip that might help, nothing I've been told by anyone, just something I've noticed in my own workings with birds. It came to mind because you mentioned purple, and purple is my favorite color and would be what I used myself it it worked well.
I try to match the colors of vet wrap I use as closely as I can to the color of the bird while still keeping the vet wrap pale. I like to use pale wraps because those make it easier to see bleeding, etc., but that's not usually an issue with wraps for slipped or droopy wings anyway. So for instance, I use white wrap on my white Calls, gray wrap on my grays and blue fawns, etc. What I've found through experimentation in the past with colors I like myself is they cause me problems with the wraps. Anything in the red category, including pinks and purples, and anything in the green category, has the other birds with the wrapped bird immediately pecking and pulling at the wrap. That's likely because red means blood and green means food.
Does trying to match the wrap color as closely as possible to the duck work completely all the time? I wish. LOL. It does seem to reduce how much the other ducks notice the wrap, though. The duck that's wrapped is always going to try to mess with it, but I have better luck with mine if he doesn't have all his friends 'helping' him with it.![]()
He is so cute in that harness leash. So safe too.Ordered Davie a harness a while ago and got it today! He's so cute in it, it's mostly him walking me but I love it haha

awe, sweet little duck bird. More reasons to love him. And he has you and the others so he is good to go.Uno does look a little silly with one angel wing. Maybe he is half angel.
