I read that I could give each chicken half a baby asprin a day for their limp. Is this true? Also two seem to be better and limp isn't noticeable at all unless you knew it was there in the first place

I really don't know about the baby aspirin might be better to go to the Emergency disease thread and ask. I know aspirin can damage the liver of water fowl.I heard that If I gave them some and they didn't limp they just strained a muscle or something along those lines, but if they still limped after taking pain medication it was something else. I don't know if it's true or not that's why I'm asking all of you

My day is going a lot better then yesterday. They are finished with the lot next door. The chickens had to come over and check the back yard out. The ducks are afraid to come over but I'm sure they will come over later on. Their pool is filled up just waiting for them to come over. They should have hired the chickens to level out the dirt they would have made fast work out of that huge dirt pile.I read some where that people rent their goats to people who need brush and stuff cleaned out of their property. I hope after they do the job they get some extra treats.![]()
I hope everyone has a nice day.

There you go Jade rent a goat then if you still have a house left in couple of days you might want to buy one. They are awfully cute when their little but then they grow up and chew everything in sight their not that cute anymore.Great to hear, Patty! Rented goats, huh? What a concept. Might be an interesting 'try before you buy' even if you didn't need brush cleared. I keep thinking I want goats, hubby keeps saying no I don't and we'd be sorry we got them.
I've never given my ducks any asperins before. I would check in the emergency catagory before I would try that. It just doesn't make sense that you have 4 chickens limping. Unless like you said they stepped on the concrete and maybe bruised the bottom of their feet. Let us know what you find out. I hope you get an answer.I heard that If I gave them some and they didn't limp they just strained a muscle or something along those lines, but if they still limped after taking pain medication it was something else.
