baby duck with lots of problems

We are all doing ok.  The chickens and the ducks aren't liking  this 90+ weather we have been having. The ducks lay in the shade and pant or sit in the pool.  The chickens have a big fan running in the coop but most of them prefer to be outside.  Coach is doing ok he shows Phyllis the food bowl and god knows she needs the help to find it.  Phyllis either hangs out with Coach in the coop or visits with Jr. in his cage.

How are you all doing Deb ?  Are you enjoying your pool?  How's your ducks doing?  We havn't seen any pics of them lately.  Maybe I can get Rob to take some pics today and I'll post some.

I would love to see pool pics of your birds Patty. What is Uno up to?

That is so sweet that Opie still thinks of you as his momma.  I told Que Sera when she was being snooty and not letting me come near her, I am your mom I helped you out of your egg.  She doesn't pay any attention to that she just walks off.  She does eat out of my hand but that's as close as I can get without chasing her and catching her.

Patty
Que Sera is so cute. She is an independent girl.

Doing good, thanks. Yep, pool has been very nice. Two weekends at the end of August were too cool to swim. Never heard of such a thing in MO...until this year, of course. Been in the pool Saturday and yesterday. Not yet sure, but should be able to get in today, too. Did you see these pics...I posted them somewhere. These were the last ones I took.

Same here with the hot weather thing. The ducks don't like it any more than I do. I'll be really glad when it's over.

I just remembered you asked me a question a few days ago about crow calls. Did I ever answer that?

Uno is doing fine. I think him and Que Sera are going to be mates. Their usually hanging around close togeather. Que Sera follows him around and is a little flirt.

Yes we had some nice weather a week ago it was barely in the 80s. I love the pics. I haven't seen them yet. The bandanas are the latest fashion.

Yes you said it might draw them but they won't stay in our area unless they have big trees to nest in. I would love to have some in this area. I saw another hawk yesterday, Bubba alerted the girls and I did a fast walk around the yard. He just swooped by thank goodness.

He drops his head and starts towards them they either run off or face him which they haven't done yet. they usually move as one up the hill. We'll see how macho he is come goose breeding season.
Oh I see the old drop head and challenge trick. That's not going to work when they go though the breeding season. They will call his bluff then, Opie will be going up the hill instead of them.

Ah. I was thinking it was you who asked me how to call them. It must have been someone else. I need to find that post so I can figure out whether I responded. BYC doesn't have the best search functionality I've ever seen.
