Sorry i haven't really replied, been kind of busy lately plus keep forgetting, but thanks for all the info everyone! I do need to go back a reread what was said haha
I will say though that we had a rhododendron in our garden but we just had to cut it down to almost the ground because we had workers redo the siding there and put 2 windows in and they needed to get to it. And this thing was old and a tree, no longer a little bush, I swear it had to be at leasy 8 feet tall but idk. Anyway, while it was pretty when it bloomed, it was also kinda ugly, so I've been thinking maybe instead of letting it regrow we should just remove it completely and get a cherry tree/bush instead. I think it would be very pretty and we could also have fresh cherries.
Thoughts on what sort of cherries would work best?
I know you guys have already suggested some great varieties and I do need to go back and reread parts I skimmed and see if there's any more suggestions but I just didn't know if I my idea would be a good one or not. Or if the suggestions are still applicable for fresh cherries? Thinking we would want to eat them fresh but also maybe for pies. Not too extremely tart but not too disgustingly sweet if I'm making sense. Maybe there is no choice there. I have never really eaten many cherries so I will need to ask my dad what he prefers.
