You're welcome!
I don't know, we do have some rattlesnakes (not on our property) but around our area.

Thank you!these so cute!
Feathers are protein, plus, blood is too. As rough as they look, they could be deficient in iron and/or protein. Maybe give them some meat or if you have it, game bird feed to up the protein levels. Maybe if you can, keep them separate until that issue is resolved so that IF it is a learned habit then it won't spread to the others. The little roosters crows are so tiny!
I think they were picking feathers from each other although I've not directly observed this behavior.
I think they now have more space, and less stress than their previous environment. Will they stop the feather-picking? Ive never had feather-picking in my birds. I've read some stuff on here that I should just cull them so they don't teach the other birds about feather-picking. That's pretty drastic, is that normally how feather-picking is dealt with?
Very cute! I can see why you fell for them. I'm thinking mixes also, but could be pure serama, just not SQ bred. Seramas come in lots of variations, colors, sizes. OEGBs and Japanese have more standard colors. Do the boys normally stand with their wings almost vertical?
