Bantam People!! HALLLP- "Gift Chickens"

That's funny right there. My neighbor also walked over a couple days ago and gave me 2 bantams. Golden Sebrights. Male and female.

These are ADORABLE! Such lovely colors!!! Did you pick them out a name yet?

I can't get over how easily handled they are!

I was able to just reach in the cage and pick them up, dust them, inspect them. No fighting, flapping, or flogging!

My Marans and Cream Legbars will have none of that! Dusting them is what I think it would be like dusting a velociraptor.

Could this just be a freeze response? Or are bantams more easily handled?

Now that I look at them closer, they look like they could have some Serama in them, I don't think pure though.

Crossbreds. Could be Serama crosses, Old English crosses, Japanese crosses, its hard telling.

They look like serama crosses. Maybe with some old English game or Japanese bantam in them.

I'm worried about snakes getting them.

My juvenile/grow-out coop and run is completely enclosed with hardware cloth in the coop where nothing can get my babies during the day or at night.

The bigger birds runs are chicken wire (large chicken wire) and flight netting. Snakes can and do get in there but don't mess with the adult birds. I'm afraid the snakes will eat the bantams off the roost, as my neighbor said he lost one like that.

Once quarantine is over, would it be possible to keep them in with my juvie large birds at night? Or would that not be advised?

I always keep the two sizes together. I haven't had problems.
