Barred rock, but is it?

Pink combs by 6 weeks, red by 8. Yours look to be pullets if they are 6 weeks.
Update: so here are the mysterious BR or Australorp or something black chickens at 8 weeks. One has much more pink on the comb and face than the other. Is that one looking more rooster? "She" is the one in the front

Both look like pullets and I still think primarily Australorp although I do see the slight barring here (and on retrospect in the one original picture as well). They may have a barring Gene but I'm still going Australorp pullet just not pure

These 2 buff orps are still so.....neutral.... I can't even tell them apart, let alone tell their sex! 5 weeks old
