Not a good pic as I had to take it with a flash light through the peek window on the bator (not opening bator)
It's a lav cochin bantam!!

Hurray for the peeps, pips, and chicks! I am waiting an extra day to take mine out of the turner. When I candled, last night, they didn't seem to be as far along as I would have expected and when I thought back to the day I put them in, I probably should have counted that as day 0, not day 1. So mine are getting an extra day before lockdown tomorrow.

I have 24 eggs in my homemade bator in my classroom. My students are so excited!
They are so good at watching the temp and making sure I don't forget to turn them. We are on day 4. This is my first time doing this so I'm trying to learn whatever I can to make these babies hatch! When should I expect to see something when I candle them? Any good info, sites or pics to help me learn what to look for when candling?
