Ah! That's great newsLater this afternoon, Black was laying down in the nestbox and Pearl was free ranging again.
Confident Black is healing/has less pain.
It's hard to know if she stays inside because she is still not well, or because she is feeling afraid.Black is still in the small coop the whole/most of the time.
She mainly walks around and sits in the nestbox area and comes down to the small covered run now and then. I haven’t seen her outside.
I suppose she knows best.
Sounds like she is getting better. She is pretty!Today Black went outside to free range with the others. Not actively, but she did enjoy the sun and walked around a bit.
She was near to were I was sitting for some time.

I dislike those weasels, martens and mink. Horrible kills everything that moves.Tuesday night we missed Janice when I checked. It was already dark and I found her high up in the pear tree. In the morning (still dark) my husband heard a disturbing noice and went out to check but didn’t see anything.
A few hours later we received a message from a neighbour 6 houses down the road that one of my chickens was in her garden.
Janice probably panicked otherwise she would not have gone that far away. An hour later she got home by herself and wanted to go inside to lay an egg.

Another neighbour warned for stoats/weasels (google translates to stone marten) , a few days ago. He had one damaging his car.
Definitely not a good idea to sleep outside for my chickens.
