Hello! So we're thinking about ordering some chicks this fall, so we're wondering what the best year-round hatchery would be? we're interested in ordering around 5-6 bantams.

Only ordering 5 or 6 bantams in the fall is gonna really limit your options.
Not sure which hatcheries offer small order options.

I agree my pet chicken is best for small quantity. It's a little more money and you'll have to order in the springish... It's too cold right now.

I don't know of any hatchery that offers small orders on bantams, especially since the hatching season is over for most hatcheries for this year. Most also don't offer sexed bantams so the larger order makes up for the males most people don't keep.
Avoid hoovers. Cackle Hatchery, Mcmurray and Ideal are all good hatcheries.
Also heard good things for Welp and Privet.

McMurray will do small orders for an extra fee.
Cackle has a FEW sexed bantams.
Both have excellent customer service.
I have not ordered from any of the others, so I can not comment on them.😊

Meyer hatchery is good, though a little pricey. They have a bunch of bantam options, but I believe they are all st.run. They can ship as few as 3 from April to November. I've ordered from them 2 times, and had great experiances. All chicks arrived alive and healthy.
