You have tons of birds too!
I never knew you could feed ravens cat/dog food!

6 inches of snow .Here there has been no snow since like last year!
Yes dry dog food is what they feed Ravens in rehabilitation centers, they love the stuff! Cat food is a bit higher in protein and I think they prefer it over dog food.

This is an early snow storm for sure! Arctic cold blast too, its 12° F right now, still snowing. I need to go out with more bird seed, Deer just came around and ate what I put out a bit ago.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of birdseed do you use?

Yes I love deer, but not eating birdseed! Its now a balmy 15°

I get my birdseed at Walmart, I use Penningtons Birders Blend and add a bit more Black Oil Sunflower seeds. I tried Penningtons Western Bird blend but for some reason they wont eat the millet? I also feed suet as well. What's your favorite seed to use?

lol.

I've never heard of that bird seed before!

I read that millet is a filler seed and that the birds don't like it since it has no nutritional value. It's a "filler seed" since it fills up the bag and it's cheap for the companies to buy.

I get the Aspen song choice blend. Other than a suet feeder, what feeders do you use? 🐦

Millet isn't on top of the list but it does get eaten. Oddly enough they say Milo is not readily eaten, around here it's the first seed to be eaten by all the birds! :D

I have never heard of Aspen Song, I will have to look into it. Tiny town stuff here, I purchase what ever they sell, but I try to stay away from the cheaper blends.

I have a double sided hanging type suet feeder with a roof on it, and the other is one of those block feeder cages, I couldn't find any suet feeders this year, I may need to go on line. Do you feed the standard suet or the no melt stuff? I use both but the no melt is preferred over the standard suet.

I use the standard suet, but I want to try the no-melt stuff. :)

The no melt goes faster as its crumbly. But it's cute, the Jay's hang up there and crumbs all fall down and the little birds like juncos and white crowned sparrows all hang out beneath to eat them, birds that otherwise might not get suet. 💖
