I agree with @SoftSilkie that ebird is an awesome resource. I've also been looking at Birdcast recently for migration maps.
I've found that birds around here luv the pre-shelled sunflower chips.

@SoftSilkie nice drawings! I like the barn swallow the most.
I have sunflowers sprouting all over the lawn from the birds dropping seeds lol. Next summer I’m going to grow a big patch and let them go crazy with the seeds in the fall.

I might try the same thing with sunflower seeds too next year...

I used to buy that cheap mixed seed.
Same thing, saw nothing but house sparrows and house finches. I learned that black oil sunflower seeds were the way to go.
Occasionally I'll get a thistle seed sock. but really the gold finch like the black oil sunflower just as good as the thistle seed.

Glad to hear what they like. I have plenty of goldfinches here, so I'll try black oil sunflower seeds!

Just thought I'd share on here that yesterday, on Halloween, I saw two owls flying across the road while I was driving the first one was a Great Horned owl. The other one was smaller. I'm thinking maybe a screech owl.

A couple years ago, me and my brothers used to go out into our fields and watch a bald eagle and a red-tailed hawk, both of which lived on our property, they would fight ALOT and it was pretty cool ( other then the fact they were trying to kill each other) whoever posted the pics of the orioles, they're
