It could have something to do with the feeders themselves rather than the birds. The three golden rules are:
1) Set the feeders up near cover such as bushes, trees, or woods
2) Offer as many types of foods as you want (suet, mealworms, sunflower seeds, peanuts, corn, fruit, sugar water, etc)
3) Always provide water. Some birds are picky eaters, but all of them like to drink and bathe.
Here’s a part of my setup, the bird bath can be as simple as a plant saucer, and a suet cage, hopper style, and then platform feeder can get you a good variety of different species.
