We used to have a Tawny owl which roosted in one of the trees in our back yard. Used to hear it calling, then it would swoop down into the woodland.
Amazing birds. Not sure if you get them in US.

That's so cool! They aren't in my area of the US (North East)

I wish the birds here were that tame! I can’t get any to even eat out of a bird feeder.

It could have something to do with the feeders themselves rather than the birds. The three golden rules are:
1) Set the feeders up near cover such as bushes, trees, or woods
2) Offer as many types of foods as you want (suet, mealworms, sunflower seeds, peanuts, corn, fruit, sugar water, etc)
3) Always provide water. Some birds are picky eaters, but all of them like to drink and bathe.

Here’s a part of my setup, the bird bath can be as simple as a plant saucer, and a suet cage, hopper style, and then platform feeder can get you a good variety of different species.

Water becomes especially important in the winter.

Whoopsies, I just showed a lot. These are all my pictures from the last week, and I have been obsessed with photography recently

This winter was the first in a while. I started putting mealworms out again hoping they come back.
