What a great idea @SoftSilkie!! I live in Idaho too!! I live next to a wildlife area, so i can see a lot of cool birds!! Adding on to what you see, i also see Brown-Headed Cowbirds, Bullock's Orioles, Song Sparrows, Wood ducks, Northern Shovelers, the occasional blue or green- winged teal, and American and Eurasian Teal!! Hey, @SoftSilkie, could we share some pics too??

Pictures would be awesome!

I’m in central Louisiana and last week I saw a Roadrunner cross the highway in front of me. I never knew they were in Louisiana.

I saw a road runner once when I was a kid. I forget where we were, but we were on vacation in a state very near California. I can't remember which one exactly though.

So that is a catbird... I once saw a baby chick similar to that. But... lett's just say... not in the nest. ;-;
Well... Turing around. I saw a woodpecker today that I mistaken as a tocan. I almost had a heart attack. I'm broken.

I almost had a heart attack while birdwatching too! I was looking up into a free and walking around, trying to get a good look at a Western Tanager, when a grouse flew up at my feet! Scared me super bad! But now I wish I had gotten a better look at it and watched where it landed.

For me I tend to see barn swallows, cickadees, blue jays, grey jays, mallards, Canadian geese, wipoorwill, wood peckers, crows, ravens, hooded mergansers, nd these tiny little black birds that are living in the roof.
Sometimes I can spot a bald eagle.
Favorite bird- Northern Herrier, a friend of chickens

Robins??? I love Blue Jays. I know many don't. We have titmouse here. And of course my sippers.. Hummers. I also see a yellow bird with black outline on it's wings And the wonderful Red Winged Blackbird.

Maybe the yellow bird is a Cedar Waxwing? I love watching Jays!

I love birbs.

We have a cardinal sometimes. Saw a Road Runner when I worked in Santa Fe, I live on the bank of the Carrabassett so often see eagles. And we have an active turkey hunt here. I have them in my yard most every day.

It's a very small bird. I think it is in the Finch family.

Many people don't like blue jays?! But their beautiful and have the most exotic tropical like colors in the north. They are also so cute with their big eyes and their songs are amazing and let's not forget, they don't fly south for the winter and the barren lands and sunless sky's are brigtened by blue jays bright vibrant blue.
I guess most people don't notice that. Well, they are missing out.
