That's a good list. Watching all of them will keep you busy. :thumbsup

I think the same catbirds are making another nest in the same bush again. Anyone know if thats normal?
Yes, that can happen often. Sometimes the first nest doesn't work out. Sometimes, the eggs or chicks get predated so the parents find somewhere else. Some birds build dummy nests before making the one the will actually use.

I also see a yellow bird with black outline on it's wings And the wonderful Red Winged Blackbird.
Did the yellow bird look like this?

If so, it is an American Goldfinch. This one was eating my swiss chard.

Or it could have been and Evening Grosbeak.

Here's some of my best pics of birds: in order, young Mallard, Black-Crowned Night-Heron, American Robin, Snake, American Coot, Great Blue Heron, Brown-Headed Cowbird.
(Yea, i know, one's a snake, but i'm a sucker for snakes ;) :D.)View attachment 2242394View attachment 2242395View attachment 2242397View attachment 2242399View attachment 2242402View attachment 2242403View attachment 2242404
Enjoy!!
What cool pictures! I like snakes too!

I am glad I found this thread. I love wild birds. My shelves are full of bird books. I have taken many pictures of birds. My sister is a professional photographer who does bird photography as a hobby. We often go birdwatching together. Her pictures are awesome.

I live on 36 acres of mixed woodland and meadow. We have many birds. I also have a feeder attached to my kitchen window. I have quite a variety that come right to the window, even if I am standing on the other side of the glass. Goldfinch, cardinal, house finch, purple finch, chipping sparrow, white throated sparrow, white breasted and red breasted nuthatches, black capped chickadees, evening grosbeak, rose breasted grosbeak, oh and a flying squirrel 😁 And those are just the ones that land in the feeder. Juncos feed below the feeder. Blue jays try to get in but are too big as are the grackles.

Last year a pair of American redstarts nested near one of the windows. My avatar is a picture of one of the fledglings. They are back this year but I have not found the nest yet. I know it is near the house because the female catches bugs on the porch. Here's a picture from last year.

I also been thinking about @WindingRoad's mystery bird and also think either American Goldfinch or maybe Lesser Goldfinch, but looks like Chickstarrs beat me to posting ;)
