Cool! Glad you got a good look! They really are awesome birds!I saw I nighthawk once. He was sitting on a sandbox in my backyard. He was there for a long time before he flew away.

Ohh, I see, thanks! These chicks left the nest and were able to fly. I guess the parents just want more chicks? XDYes, that can happen often. Sometimes the first nest doesn't work out. Sometimes, the eggs or chicks get predated so the parents find somewhere else. Some birds build dummy nests before making the one the will actually use.
Flying squirrels are so cute! Hope the bluebirds found a different home!Here’s a couple of Blue Birds nesting in the Blue Bird box my daughter and I built. It’s strange, they look just like flying squirrels to me. But what do I know.

Beautiful!Here are a couple of pictures I just took of house wrens on my property near the house. There are at least two nesting pairs out there calling and singing. I am sure one parent was teaching a chick how to hunt, they keep circling around the camper and the little apple tree.

Yep! All of the above! They have all of those traits.That is definitely a starling. Does it have speckled irridescent feathers, a yellow beak and very chatty, especially when returning to the nest? Then it is a European Starling.
