In my area the magpies, starlings, and waxwings are starting to gather in their winter flocks. The robins and geese are gathering too and the migratory ones are preparing to leave (some stay, some leave). The first signs of Autumn. Anybody else experiencing this?

The blue jays here are becoming more noticeable here. They appear alot durring winter and practically disapear during spring and summer.

must have been to cold for her to move

I have noticed that too, why:confused: I don't get it
I have Stellar's Jays around me (not sure if I spelled Stellar right, but you get the point ). In the summer I think some leave, and those that stay are in pairs or single. I'm the winter, fall, and spring they all come and gather in big flocks, along with their offspring. Maybe that could explain your Blue Jays?
